Stavros is a seaside area located at Chania’s Akrotiri area, only 15 kilometres from our quarters. Its main beach is well organised, with umbrellas and sun loungers, while the village boasts cafés and tavernas for coffee and lunch. The area highlight is its rising hill that sets the stage for the Oscar-winning movie “Zorbas” and made the “Sirtaki” dance famous all over the world in the 1960s. This renowned beach resembles a circular lagoon and comes with beautiful turquoise waters and white sand. Definitely worth a visit!
